Product Description
TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons 4-9PAS
The company says its goal with the TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons 4-9PAS was "to create an easy-to-launch iron that delivered 'meaningful distance," And to do that, TaylorMade states, "the TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons had to promote high, straight, long-carrying, soft-landing ball flight."
Company designers worked on the long irons, middle irons and short irons separately, but the set's calling cards go something like this:
A thinner clubface, thinnest in the long irons (3-5) but not quite as thin in the middle irons (6-8), with the short irons a little thicker than both.Inverted Cone Technology in all.
Larger clubhead sizes in the long and mid-irons.
Wider soles, but not quite as wide in the middle irons as in the long, nor in the short irons as in the middle.
Thicker topline, but again, the long irons having the thickest.
More offset in the long irons.
Ultra-light shafts and grips are used throughout the TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons. TaylorMade says the MOI of these irons are greater than any other company set; and the center of gravity location is progressive throughout the set.
Also, shaft length is increased in the long and middle irons to help promote faster swing speeds.
Features:
* Inverted Cone Technology provides an extra-large sweet spot for added forgiveness
* Multi-functional sole design, progressively thicker toplines
* Multi-material cavity badge dampens vibration on impact for excellent feel
* SuperFast Technology promotes increased swing speed, faster ball speed and added distance
* Easy to launch irons

I've had my Taylormade 2009 Burner irons for about 3 weeks, which translates to about a dozen rounds of golf. I had tested the irons several times prior to purchasing, so I kind of knew how nice they were.
This set of 2009 Burner irons are amazing. I can not get over the playability and the increased distance that these irons provide. GREAT CLUBS!!!! TaylorMade has a winner on their hands.
The irons were very lightly used and actually, in my opinion, in better shape than they'd been described. I do love them. The 2009 Burner Irons are the best clubs.
Bought the TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons a couple of months ago . These irons were so easy to hit and had awesome feel that I decided to buy the irons and get rid of my hybrid.
The TaylorMade 2009 Burner Irons are exactly what I was looking for and I bought them because I needed new clubs due to my current ones being outgrown and crappy.
Assuming you’re a right-handed golfer, it sounds like you are making contact with the ball more towards the heel of the club causing them to go left. I’d try standing 1/2-1 inch more away from the ball.
